Episode 053 - Lisa School@Home Mom
Lisa was a teacher for 15 years – long enough to see her elementary students grow up and start to graduate from college – and loved a lot of it. But, education is a very different field now than when she entered it. After clearly seeing the limits of what the system can do for kids and families, she made the difficult decision to leave the education field to focus on educating her own child. She is currently finishing up her last year as a full-time educator, working as a curriculum developer and instructor at the Museum of Natural History in New York City, and eagerly preparing to homeschool.
