Episode 270 - Melinda Wheelwright Brown, Using the Story of Eve and Adam To Teach Life Balance

Melinda Wheelwright Brown has a passion for solving problems, particularly those faced by women. The intersection of her non-profit work, church service, and inquisitive nature led her to pursue an intensive study of Eve, hoping to rediscover those truths long hidden among history's misunderstanding and misapplication of our beautiful origin story. That study led to the publication of her first book, Eve and Adam: Discovering the Beautiful Balance, in April 2020. Melinda earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Brigham Young University and loves teaching and discussing the gospel of Jesus Christ. She and her husband Doug are the parents of four children and have recently entered the delightful world of grandparenthood. All proceeds of her book go to a variety of women’s charities:

Bringing hope and ending victimization of sexual assault and abuse through prevention, recovery and advocacy.

Fight the New Drug is a non-religious and non-legislative organization that exists to provide individuals the opportunity to make an informed decision regarding pornography by raising awareness on its harmful effects using only science, facts, and personal accounts.

To gather and train women to be deliberate thinkers and to engage as powerful forces for good in their homes, communities, and world.

Turning periods into pathways--changing the status quo through quality menstrual care solutions, health education, and income-generating opportunities that give back days of opportunity and health.

Redefining the meaning and value of beauty in our lives.
